    Default Percy Priest

The Grandson and I fished Priest today and the brush we put out last winter payed off. We caught close to 60 crappie and we kept 30, most were between 11 and 12 inches. All caught on toob jigs under a bobber in 3-5 ft. of water. The color didn't matter, I tried many and they all worked. Most were black crappie and had eggs. It rained this morning so we had the lake to ourselves. The water temp was 65 when we put in. If you are going to catch them you better get them now. Later<>< <>< <>< <>< <>< Jack

    Default Nice Catch

Nice fish! Too bad work is getting in the way. Cold front coming in through today and we know that will get them going. Catch a few for me!

Just got home from the Priest and it was rough out there.Fished about 3 hours and no luck other than a smallie and a yellow stripe.Wasnt alot out there the water was rough and the wind was blowing hard out there.Maybe the backwaters and coves would be better.

Fished priest today ,bite was good in bout 6 ft water ending up with 20 keepers in bout 5 hrs from 9 to 2pm
Caught most at 1 spot in 6 ft water but went to other places 6 ft deep and didnt catch anything. In cleaning them most all were full of eggs. Fished 4 corners area. Wind was blowing a little and couldnt stay on target but got back into a little cut in bank and they were bunched up out of wind

    Default 4-14-06

I fished 4-14-06 6am to about 10 am. Bryants grove area caught 10-12 in a sharp point. they were in 12-15 ft then spider rigged a big flat 14-18. Caught about 20 more most were next to the channel in 18-16. minnows. Only got 3 rods out. I am new to the spider rigging game and couldn't keep up with the crappie, stripe, yellow stripe and hybrids. Great day.
If you see an old white center console with a blue t-top stop and say hello. you can't miss me out there amongst the bass boats.
I had 11 keepers and lost 2 better than what I had in the boat.

Well today on Monday I was over on Priest at East Fork area and well tossed a bunch back in.I got 6 that was 10 or smaller so didnt want to chance the 10 cause it was so close.Had a few bass landed but released them dont think they was going to be big enough either.Talked to several other boats out there and they was coming up short also. All was hanging close to the banks not even using alot of structer to hang in most was in 5ft of water right off the banks.Might try Old Hickory in the morning if I get up in time to be there before daylight.

Fished today from stewerts creek ramp to long hunter state park ramp and caught 27, kept 17. Most were caught in 10 - 12 feet of water. Very tough today with the wind. Try again Friday.
