    Default Reelfoot is low!!!

Well folks I have not been fishing since April so Pop and me went today. On the water at 5a.m. with very little luck!! The lake is low andmost of the stumps are about 4" in under the water so it is eay to get hung up. We got hung up on three coming back across the lake. We only had one crappie and pop caught a gar! There are also plenty of jumping carp!! We had a good time together but I can't wait for the fall to get here. Yall becareful out on the water!
See yall this fall on the water!!

it's about time to go jig fish those stumps!! we couldn''t get a crappie bite either, so we resorted to fillin the boat with catfish! they were layin' under every big cypress along the bank, it was like bassfishin' (so i hear) just toss a little stink up to the tree, and work it like a plastic worm, they were loaded in there!!
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!

How did the jumping carp get into Reelfoot? I didn't think it was connected to the Mississippi.

They've been there for awhile now. Paul and a friend from work were fishing Reelfoot about 4 or 5 years ago and one jumped up, broke his rod and knocked the fuel line off the outboard. We haven't seen any up at Big Sandy yet, but TWRA says they are in Ky Lake too.

There at Pickwick so you have them on that end also. They were catching them in the flood water at Pickwick 2 years ago. About 36+" long.
Glad you got out on the water. I plan on going this week if I can get caught up. Smoking BBQ again today for 150 tomorrow.

Yeah Vonna is right they have been in there for a while. Back a couple of years ago My son was hit by one that weighed 15lbs. it about knocked him out of my boat. There needs to be something done about these fish!!

You people talking about Chinese Carp? I hadn't heard they had made their way into the TN River. That's terrible.
