    Talking Douglas Gills 5-24-2010

Got to go for a few hours this AM with my brother, Fred and my son, Michael.
We had a blast. Brought home 30 real nice gills. Most around 8 inches and quite a few 9 inchers. Also, caught some fun fish on long limber crappie rods. 1 smallmouth (1 1/2 lbs.), 8 catfish(biggest right at 5 lbs), and Michael caught a carp that would have probably gone 9-10 lbs. Didn't weigh it, broke it off at the boat to keep from getting all the nasty slime in the boat.
Saw Sandy Ridge and couple of his buddies on the water, and as always it was nice to see him and chat little while.

Good to see Dr. John out again today, almost didn't recognize you in that boat. We fished until 12a.m. and had to get back in to mow hay. We had 71 real nice Bluegille. We were in a hurry so I didn't post or take pic's. Maybe we will see you all again one day this week. My Grand Daughter is out of school after tomarrow and she has informed me she want's to go and Whack and Stake them for awhile, she would fish all day if I would let her but after about 5 to 6 hrs they can stick a fork in me for I'm done.

Nice mess of fish Doc! I went to lower end of the lake yesterday and couldn't find nothing but small ones...no bedders.
