    Default Need Evinrude Forward Gear


    Does anyone know of a parts supply where I might be able to buy only the forwars gear and pinon for a evinrude outboard, my forward gear has broken teeth, my repair shop can only get the gear as a group, (forward, reverse and clutch dog) the cost will be the cost will be more than $400 and labor. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I live in Blount County.

    I have found parts for mine occasionaly on Ebay, at a much reduced price.

    Go to Bass Boat Central.com forum under the Evinrude/Johnson threads and look for Eddie Pope. He lives down next to Athens and he can help you out. He put geras in my lower unit last year and all was under $400.00
