You guy's are going through the same thing we did here in the 90's. OU ran off Gary Gibbs, 7-4 not good enough. Then Howard Snellenberger for 1 year. Then John Blake, losing record but darn good recruiter, Stoops comes in and with those recruits wins it all in 2000. Be patient and it's going to work out for the Vols.

    Default Kiffin: Exit Stage Left

While every Vols fan stews over the early departure of Lane, we all know that the real reason for the miffed fans is because they feel they were let down. The one person that brought piss and vinegar back to the hill has left his former team and fans up a creek without a paddle.
Why would one leave Tennessee for Southern Cal? Hmm... well, let's break it down. For the next four years, Kiffin can blame all blunders on Pete Carroll. Not to mention, probably more money and a conference where you are the powerhouse straight out of the gate every year.
This is where the gamble really pays out; if Lane brings USC to the lime light once again he is, and always will be, a football genius.
As a Tide fan, I feel like Tennessee deserves a coach like the rest of the SEC teams that has class and style, such as: Myer, Saban, Richt, and Miles.

Took me a while to warm up to the Kiffin hire but I went with it and drank the orange aid. We were going to have a good recruiting year. That is now gone I suppose. Cannot blame the guy for leaving for his dream job and congrats to him for getting it so early in life. I do not know who Pilot Oil will bring in now but they better make sure on this one. I am betting that they get a new AD very soon also. Fishing Phil? Stranger things have happened.

    How about Nick Sabin....

You think Alabama hates Tennessee now, they would burn the state of TN if Sabin came to Knoxville.

Im not much of Saban fan.

I strike the "riots" comment. It was just "protests" by students

Did you see the reaction on the news? WOW, thats just a little CRAZY!!!!!! I love my college sports, and have been following them since I could walk. Never miss a game, and hold season tickets. I still am not going to set anything on fire, on flip any cars.
