    Default Greenwood Crappie?


    We went out last Friday and fished from 9:00am to 7:00pm and caught only 6 crappie! We tried jigs and minnows, shallow and deep. Dang...we even tried trolling. Does anyone know whats going on?

    P.S.
    I met Carnet56 at the boat ramp...He's a mighty nice fella!

    Default Where have all the crappie gone(hum a few bars)

    That is an excellent question.I have had little success in a week.
    Last Monday they were thick at the banks.Invited someone to go onThursday and worked hard for a half dozen.My brother in law is coming Wednesday for a visit and to go crappie fishing and I am not encouraged.If anyone has any recommendations I would love to hear them.I am truly suprised that they just instantly left where they had been.
    Oh well that if fishing.Perhaps we will try for some "green carp",I can scarcely do worse. Interesting that I fished this afternoon and perhaps saw 3 boats on the water.The lake was deserted.
    Well I hope everyone has a most blessed day...and remember fishing and not catching is infinitely better than not fishing at all!!!

    I bet we covered 10 miles of lake, we put in at Twin Rivers, and ran from the top of the Reedy River all the way down to Caney Creek. We fished boat docks and high banks, but six was all we could manage! lol

    I did not go this weekend but I would think this cold snap shut the bite down.
