Great week! I should have taken you up on the trip to Murray last week!
Well spring break is over for me . It was an awesome week of fishing. A total of 163 crappie and about 15 catfish made it into the freezer this week. Drifted minnows and threw jigs in the little river close to the Little River Fish Camp on Murray and had some good luck. I went first thing Friday when I got home and put 8 in the boat in about 3 hours. Saturday morning the fishing was slow, but still steady Me, my dad, and my uncle (Team Beetlespin) caught 28 that we kept and had a lot of fun. I didn't fish Sunday, but monday the fishing at slowed way down. Me and my dad fished long and hard for 7 and Tuesday was the same, me and my girlfriend caught 9 keepers (2 of which were 2 lbs). Wednesday I took off, but Thursday afternoon I was back out there with some buddies and we caught 12. Friday morning the fish turned on again and we caught 34 in our boat and my buddy had 12 in his. Saturday was a beautiful day on the lake. Me, my dad, and my uncle caught 61 by lunch time and the fish shut their mouth. I called up the girlfriend to fish the afternoon and we put 8 more nice ones in the livewell. Of the 69 Saturday 40 of them weighed a pound or better.
It was a good week of fishing and I can't wait to get out there again. I will be posting pictures soon!

Sounds like a heck of a way to get away from the books for a week. Persistance paid off giving you good times on the lake with family and friends AND helped fill the freezer. Now, hit those books hard and get the same kind of results!!
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Here are the first fish of my spring break. Friday afternoon was slow, but in 3 hours I managed to put 8 in the boat by myself. Saturday morning was equally as slow, but with much persistence my dad, my uncle (Team Beatlespin), and me had 28 to make their way into the livewell. The biggest fish I'm holding up is a 2 lber that my dad caught. A pretty good start to the week.

After taking Sunday off, me and my dad hit the lake Monday morning, bright and early. Needless to say, the fishing had slowed way down. We fished long and hard for the 7 that we had. None the less, it was a great day spent on the lake with my dad and we still ended up with some nice fish!

Me and my girlfriend hit the lake again Tuesday morning. This time with a little more luck. They were slow, but we had 9 total with 2 fish weighing in at 2 lbs. She and I both had a great time and if I can brag a little what a girl I have found! She was out with me early this year when it was sleeting, raining, and 30 degrees. The only complaining I heard from her is that the livewell was looking slack! haha

After taking a windy/rainy Wednesday off I fished with some friends Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. The fish started turning on. We had 58 total for the two days. I thought this might be the best day I would have over Spring Break till I hit the lake Saturday with my dad and uncle again.

What a way to end my break. My dad, my uncle, and me drifted minnows to catch the best mess of fish of the week. The three of us had 61 in the boat by 11:30 when the pretty much just quit biting. Me and my girlfriend went back out at 2 and fished till 6 and wound up finding 8 more crappie that were willing to cash in their chips and gobble up our minnows. What a great day of fishing it was!
