Are the fish not headed in towards the docks? I thought now was the time to catch them with jigs around the docks.

I dont know if the real problem is too much water or if the front coming in or the moon getting brighter is the real problem.I do know the bite was on from last week end until around friday when the bite just stopped and everone I talked to was catching buterbeans(small 2 finger crappie).I know everone I talked to was using pink but I tried different colors still no help.We thought the fish might had gone further up the river but we checked nothing so possibly they went back to main run--boy I love to try to figure these crappie out--lol.

Slowpole, glad to hear you got on them! I fished both Sat and Sun. from 7am-3pm. I am preparing for a tournament this coming Sat. Caught so good fish but I can't share too much info. I had several 2 lbs and (1) 2.4 lbs. I hope I can catch them when it counts. I will let you know more info after this weekend.

Slowpole, I am pulling jigs tipped with tuffies. This is my favorite time of the year because I like pulling those jigs and catching slabs. Tightling is definitely not my bag but certain times of the year, you must do what you need to catch fish. You don't catch many the way I do it but you can catch the big ones. Also, sometimes it pays not to follow the crowd and don't be scared to try anything. Give it a week or two of the right weather and it will be on!
