Rango, Wylie Tomorrow?

I think I am going to fish crappie (most likely catch thugs) on Wylie tomorrow.
I plan to troll and I got to make sure my trolling batteries get charged good today and back in the boat (got now way to charge the batteries where I keep the boat and have to remove to batts. to charge).

I usually put in a BB Bridge, and I like to try to have the boat in the water at first light to beat the bass crowds. I think that will be the case tomorrow because the later you wait, the worse it will be with all the folks practicing for that crappie tournament...I hope I can get all my stuff together tonight after work and get the boat set up and ready and still get some sleep....the boat has been used mostly for saltwater of late.....now where did I put those driftmaster rod holders...mmmmmm..and where is my crappie tackle box..mmmm...ice, bee(er ahh medicine), food, bait...crap I will not get bait anywhere before first light. medicine....more medicine, still more medicine. I got this real bad cold and cough.

Because of what I expect to be crowds at Wylie, I would almost think twice and go to Wateree instead...take the crappie stuff and striper stuff...since trolling is done in the 1mph range, and striper drifting/trolling is approximately the same, I wonder if it would work to put out 6 crappie trolling rods and 4 striper rods... at the same time...

Did I ever tell you that I hate crowds....and people who do not know how to use a boat ramp...but that is another story.

DCM, I have a night stalking trip lined up for tonight. if you interesed in going to wateree, sunday would suit me just fine. if you want we will hit wateree sunday and see whats happening. im probably gonna be out late tonight and if i do wylie tomorrow, it will be tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow night., so way im looking at it,, i can do wylie tomorrow afternoon, or night stalk tomorrow night, or go to wateree sunday. let me know if any of that interests you and we'll make plans. if you wanna hit wateree sunday, i can take my boat or shotgun with you. if we take both boats, i have a place we can leave one and pile up in the other. crowds are my nemesis to....

Can not make it tonight ...got way to much to do to be able to fish tonight.

I am gonna do a day trolling thing on wylie tomorrow.

How about we hook up at wateree on Sunday.. I will be most honored to be a guest onboard "the beast". I might learn something.

You want to try crappies or stripers on Wateree....let me know and I will plan on hitting the Cedar Creek B@T when they open on am Sunday and picking up a bucket of bait for either type of fish. You bring the boat and I will do the bait and gas. Might even have a few extra Heinekens or twenty in the cooler.

If stripers are still doing on Wateree, I would probably want to do that after doing crappie on Sat.......Lead and I will follow, build it and I will come....

Clear Water Cove???....guess I'll have to pull out my trusty Wateree map and find the place....LOL....

I will pick up 4-5 dozen large shiners ...is that enough?????...and of course the medicine...cough, cough cough.

yeah,, i figgered if you was gonna go to cedar creek youd rather go to clear water cove.. to get there, go on down 97 south like you was going to camden. Not long after you cross beaver creek, you will come to a lake acess sign. turn right there and go down to the landing. theres a sign there also that says shaw air force base rec area. or i can go on to colonels creek if youd rather. let me know which you prefer

I will find clear water cover if it is on the map and surely the Cedar Creek B&T knows where it is...we shall meet there at Clear Water cove...I need to learn more about that lake any way.

clearwater cove it is.. yeah,, the guys at the store will know where its at.
