the way i look at it,your boat is gonna get there a whole lot faster than most of the boats fishing it,so know your spot and get there first,first come,first serve as they say,i think most people will probably head up in the river during the tourney,but those big cats are not exclusive to being in the river run as you know,there are plenty of good areas at wateree that are holding some fine fish,just getting em to bite is gonna be the ticket,i just pray it aint 105 degrees with about 70% humidity that day,or even worse post cold front and 20 mph winds,either way i think it will be a challenge for most involved to land a whopper stringer on aug.11th,only time will tell

I have a cousin that was fishing last week with his father-in-law and he caught a blue that was around 55lbs by their scale. They were somewhere around the state park in about 12-15 foot of water.

Yeah we're gonna blast up thru there and start trollin zara spooks tipped with nightcrawlers and maybe some Louisiana pinks.If that dont work we'll switch over to chug bugs tipped with catalpa worms fished tightly to the bank.Man I probably shouldnt have told our whole gameplan on the web, oh well I like sharin info.

i belive that will prolly be worth 250lbs with that technique,yea i wouldnt talk to much about the secret weapons on here,you know how word gets around

yea big chad,i aint never heard of a fellow going off and getting married the week of a rodeo just to avoid losing 20 bucks and 1st place,but thats what ya did that night,now it seems ya got 2 problems hanging around now,wether to go fishing and lose your 20 or be stuck at home with a wife,seems like a no win situation[sorry ladies],maybe we will lighten up on ya a bit,cause you knee deep already and its heading to the neck,later
