Sorry, I can't help on your area but hang in there. There will be some people on here that will be glad to help you. Good Luck, Carl
Hey guys, my parents are divorcing and I'm moving in with my mom, and we're going to be about 3 miles from the Little Pee Dee River. I'm 17 in a month and am limited to how much physical activity I can do by my chronic fatigue. I don't have a boat or know anyone in the area with one, so I'd be limited to shore fishing. I've looked but I don't see any state parks around, and I don't know of any public place to fish. I'm interested in catfishing til it cools down some.
Does anyone know of somewhere to fish or where to start looking, or another public body of water to shore fish off of within say 45 minutes driving of the Little Pee Dee? Also are there any contamination risks with fish in the area? And any tips on fishing the Little Pee Dee River? I've only really fished Wateree, I've never been more than 30 minutes from it and have been fishing it since I was 2.
Thanks for any help!

Happiness is a belt fed weapon.
Some people have heroes that wear capes.
MY heroes wear kevlar vests embossed with the Eagle, Globe and Anchor

Yeah, I haven't seen many people near the Pee Dee rivers. Thanks anyway Rango. I think I may have to drive around and ask the locals when I get there. Well, there's always the big pond at Myrtle Beach. :D
my only advice i can give is ck out the charleston fishing forum. it's really active and it has sub-forums for most of the rivers in the low country. that would be my first stop, then of course, like you said... ask the locals.
i was raised up in that area fishing the big and little pee dee rivers there is some good bank fishing around the 501 bridge at galivants ferry there is several natural lakes in the area that are full of fish hope this helps good luck they are alot of good people in the area that wiil be glad to give info
