    Default Long Cane Creek

Any info what the lake @ the mouth of Long Cane looks like this weekend? I wanna take a ride down there if I can find out if it's fishable and if the fish have pushed that far back yet. All info appreciated.

I’m not a big long liner. What weight jig do you pull to get down to 8 feet? 1/8oz?

Most people would pull a 1/16th to get down 8'.

Gabowman is one of the best troller. I don’t troll much now but I use 1/16 at .8-1.0 mph and run approximately 6-7 feet deep. My 1/8 runs about 10-11 feet at that speed. Only way to learn where you are running is go into shallow water and see where you bump the bottom. Trust me a 1/16 jig may not truly be 1/16. I’ve weighed a bunch of them, so your 1/16 probably will be different than mine.
