what i've read and heard from my local tackle guy (Better Bait) is that most are being caught on live herring ( ) in the main lake channel early and late about 60'. if you find a school they are biting poppers and striper delights, again early or late. the main lake will be crazy during the heat of the day of course.

then what i've heard people doing is using the herring that have died as cut bait in creek chanels in the north west part of the lake ( "upriver" ) for cats in about 10'

rango, that striper bite should be picking up shortly down by the towers,me and jeff usually start going down around the first of july and fish thru august and some of september, usually drifting live herring,we use lights off the side of the boat just like nightstalking, but instead of being anchored just drift with the wind or if its calm use the trolling motor to motor around, the sodium lights work much better, than the starfires and clamp ons,but use what ya ya got for crappie and you will have pretty good sucess,i am in the process of getting a couple of the sodium lights to use with a generator on the toon, cant wait to try em out,let us know when yall want to get up a trip and maybe we can get a group up and do a mini rodeo or big fish pool or something
