    Default Honey Hole 5-20

Fished the honey hole sunday morning. Got out there about 6 am had all my down lines lines out by 6:30. Wound up with about 20 WP and 2 pulls I could say were striper. I didnt mark many fish untill about 10 am and I believe most of that were WP. Had the livliest bait, no wind, not that much boat traffic. Just no fish I guess someone forgot to invite them. Pull off the lake about 12:00 with about 20 WP and a farmers tan. I hope things pick up.

Yank, I fished the honey hole Sat. and had bad luck also. I marked very few fish on the depth finder. Wound up with only 3 stripers and 2 cats. It got windy early and they had about 300 boats in a bass tournament that were wide open up and down the lake which made it hard to fish.

Ya, those bass boats are the reason I try and fish on Sundays. It is crazy when they let loose. Everything was right weather, bait, ect. The fish just werent there????
Murray is starting to look better and better. I just wish it wasnt so crowded when it comes time to pull out. You could wait up to an hour just trying to pull your boat out.

is that what was the cause of all the boat traffic on lake murray? i took the father in law out sat morn. just like you said...windy with abot 4,000 bass boats. the landing i go to was so crowded i had to park along the road! i only caught one little baby striper (maybe 14") had a couple hits and nibbles, but other than that it was a day to get some sun and drink a beer.

Yank, we fished this weekend also. Tried the honey hole and only caught small cats and perch eating the bait. We only caught a few Stripers and we found them further down the lake near the damn. We did catch a few white bass and I also talked with a guy that had his limit. We had them schooling near us at daybreak on Sunday, but I only managed a few before they went down and the boat traffic started. And yes, they were actual white bass.

when we were pulling out, this one dude was unloading his bass boat with a 250 on the back. i looked at my paw-n-law and just smiled. it almost made me feel less of a man with my jon boat and merc 25. then i realized that i could buy 5 of my rigs for 1 of his. of course... i'm not going to scream across the lake at 85mph either... give and take i guess! lol

secretely hes probably wishing he had a rig with a 25 on it instead of a 250 gas guzzler.
