Sad day my brother, Thinking of ya.

Yesterday we had to put our Fischer boy down. Fischer was the tenth dog we raised for Canine Companions for Independence (cci.org | Homepage)
Fischer was almost 9 years old, a large Golden Retriever, over the last week he didn't want to eat and seemed to be tired all the time, just didn't act right. Wednesday the Vet looked at him and Thursday did X-rays she found a large mass in his chest.
After must talking and worrying we decided it was his time. The Vet had explained what would probably occur if we didn't act soon.
This came as a real shock since our older Golden Milani is almost 12 years old we figured she'd be the next one.
Hug your animals, they just don't live long enough

Words cannot express the sorrow one feels at these loses. That’s why their memories are the only medicine our hearts will be soothed by.
Sorry to hear that. Cherish the memories.
Sorry for your loss. They are family.
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me"
Wear that PFD, the life you save might be your own!!
One of the family. They truly are man's best friend.
So sorry this happened way too soon Grady.
So sorry !

Just know you both were benefited by having each other as friends. Tough losing a pet.
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
My heart goes out to you and your family for the loss. I've been through this at least a dozen times myself... and it just doesn't get any easier. We lost our girl Molly (a catahoula lab mix) going on two years ago after learning that she (too) had a cancerous mass that apparently spread to the point that it was untreatable before we even had a chance to catch it in time. We haven't gotten another one yet... although we are getting close. I'm sure my wife and I will both know when it is time. May Peace be with you and your family.
