Thread: Tough Weekend?

Anybody not do good this last weekend or did me and the Raccoon not wash our hands properly? He went to Monticello without me due to an error in communication on my part, so I went to Wateree bridge hopping on me own. I did catch a 13 in crappie off Colonel's creek bridge and numerous slimers. Had the most wonderful shrimp and grits at The Retreat. Raccoon got skunked at Monticello, bait all died, and case of prickly heat.

I caught my 20 fish limit on both Friday and Saturday last weekend, but will openly admit the bite was as tough as it has been all year for me. I was fishing Santee, and usually can catch a nice mess without much fuss. I had to fish a good part of the day to get what I did this time around. The lake is full and flowing from all the rains. Water is crystal clear, heavy overcast skies, not a good combination for summer time brush fishing.
