I have used a variety of lights over the years. For a long time I used submersible flounder gig lights. They work well but they do use up a battery quicker. I use 10, 12 ft rods so I need something that will let me see that far out. The biggest problem I had with the gig lights is they take up some room plus they are awkward. The last couple years I've used an LED work light mounted to a pipe but out of the water. Great light but draws in bugs. I just made a light like something I found on youtube, a submersible LED. I'll try my best tomorrow or Tuesday night to go to the pond and just see how much light it puts out.
