    Default Lake Wylie 3-23-18

Got out there late today around 12:15 pm . Met up with a friend who wasn't scared to ride with a Bigdawgg. Found some fish in the usual place I like. Managed to catch 8 crappie and 36 mixed size perch. Had a good day even in the wind. TM's anchor lock held it's ground quite a few times in some heavy gust that blew today. I know Ferlon had a good time catching while I kept us on target. Didn't pay any attention to temp but we caught fish in 36 foot of water. Hope you'll have a good weekend.

Good job Dawgg ! The way this weather has been I thought the fish may have moved to a warmer climate. Want to try Sat. a.m. but gonna wait till daybreak to decide. Tired of riding in the cold, rain , and wind for little to nothing.

Good job Unk. Were the crappie down at 36 feet also? My buddy Marion still tells people about us caching them in over 40 feet at mouth or Torrence Creek with y'all. He is a typical spring spawn crappie guy that thinks you can only catch them in 5 FOW.

SeaRay, they were down deep. All were caught one crank to two cranks off the bottom. We used 1 oz. to keep the minnow straight down. The shallow water I looked at when we first got out there had fish in it but tight lipped with staples I believe. They were in 18 to 9 foot. Holding still was not an option with the pontoon swinging around in the area I was in. Two close to the docks. It will not be long and the weather will let up and the crappies will be on the banks. The big perch we had were leaking milk all over the place, so they are spawning too! Tell Mr. Marion to come on up and bring the RV and fish with us during the Spring Fling. Would
be nice to see him again.

any body looking for perch, they are some big ones in the back of Mills creek, 18 to 10 feet. The biggest I've caught all winter!

    Dawgg
I’m concerned, you’re out there milking perch? Sounds like a CK move.
