I feel certain the crappie will relate to it. Especially in October to December which is when I primarily fish them at Clarks Hill. I've got a few old standing trees marked that are barely exposed with the lake 10 feet down and they are in 40 plus feet of water even with the lake down. Those isolated trees can really load up with fish at that time. I usually catch them between 10 and 20 feet down then, but they also will suspend just above it hanging 4 to 8 feet down. My best trees are isolated and just inside major creek mouths off the main channel.
