Cast braid over the outboard as they’re leaving, let them spool the whole reel, just don’t tie the end to the reel

I've had similar situation fishing from the bank. My kids and I were wearing them out (during the spawn at river fork on greenwood) and had boaters park right on top of where we were fishing. Irritating to say the least.

Funny story....a couple years ago I carried my friend from work fishing. He cusses ALOT. I needed to throw that in. Well, we were trolling AND catching fish, ALOT of fish (spring of the year) and a boat seen us regularly pulling in fish so this boat (with two guys in it) came right along side of us, never speaking a word to us. About that time they reeled in a small fish so the guy in my boat, with his choice of words, says pretty loud when they weren't 20 feet away "If that as big of
    XXXX
fish as I could XXXXXXX catch then I'd give the XXXX up and go to the XXXXXX house!" I almost croaked. Man! That boat never bothered us again that day but since I don't carry I certainly didn't want to run across them again when I was by myself either. Maybe you just had to be there......but that was so FUNNY at that time.

Next time theyre that close Remus you should just bounce a jig off their boat and say....."Excuse me, I aint that good at casting." If they don't take that hint then later just throw a jig over their boat. it would be worth loosing the jig over it.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

Uncle Remus I have a 7 ft rod with a 4oz wait tied to it. I have thrown a jig over there boat and sometimes it works and the leave. If that don't work I'll through the big weight right at them and dare them to say something. I don't like being that way but sometimes enough is enough

I may not be from the same area as you guys but I’ve had similar experiences. This past weekend I was fishing in the wind and rain on a public dock, just enjoying being alone and then this happenedName: IMG_3850.jpg

Size: 70.4 KB There were plenty of other docks and a million other places on Lake of the Ozarks to fish and this guy parked his boat right over the brush pile I was fishing.

There is some rudeness and outright thoughtlessness but never a reason to threaten violence. It's crappie fishing for pete's sake

I just get out the boat bumpers and some rope. If we need to be close lets have lunch and visit. Never know they might even have some really good deviled eggs or coffee.
