    Default Late start 5-15-17 Lake Wylie


    Glad a couple of guys got to go yesterday early morning and enjoyed reading their reports. My brother in-law Everett and myself didn't get out until late morning. We fished Joslin Park area for a while and then mouth of B. Allison and eventually moved on into Big Allison to deeper water. Our luck was fairly good for time of day. I got word back from Everett's friend that we had 17 perch, 13 crappies and one catfish. I know we threw back at least 40 perch and 2 crappies that were small. We didn't try to keep anything small and most crappies were in 11 inch range with some big perch around a pound. I didn't take any pictures so ya'll can fuss at me. I had my phone this time John! LOL Most of our fish were caught in deep water suspended and tight line was best approach for us. Hope to get out again sometime this week after work and maybe bring a light and stay a little late after dark.

    Dawgg, so you took your BIL to the good spot and took me to the not so good spot. I see how you are we only got 5 Crappie. :-)

    Grady, I would never ever do you that way! I took you to an old spot for me years ago and where Everett and I were is where you and I went first Saturday night and didn't locate any fish in that area. Sorry, for not doing better with you Saturday night.

    I promise the next time I'll do better.
