Hit the water about 12 today. Longlining! Tried Big Allison, Crowders & Beaver Dam. Only a couple of crappies out of Big Allison, no bites in Crowders. So, we ended up in Bever Dam . This where we should have started. Again, we were tipping jigs with minnows & had several drop shot rigs down close to the bottom. Probally, caught the most on the drop shot rigs with just a hook & minnow. The bite shut down when the sun came out.

Big crappie was 1 3/4 lb. We had about 10 perch, 1 cat & about 30 crappies

Mr. Charles, that's a good catch thanks for the info. I hope to get out tomorrow with my brothers. Has the water started to stain up yet?

Water was up some but I did not see any muddy water anywhere. I was expecting to see crowders creek muddy but only a little stain is the only thing I could tell.

Putting Tartar sauce on fresh Crappie is like putting Catsup on a good steak. Only need that stuff on mediocre tasting store bought fish.
