I have fished it a handful of times, but only once for crappie. It's 20 minutes from my house, but never have spent much time on it to figure anything out. It's full of catfish and perch, but some really nice bass and crappie are caught each year. Been saying for years I was going to try the crappie over there and never have

Back in the day my buddie and I would fish brush piles at night this time of year and do quite well. We would set the brush out at drop offs, 20+’ or so, in coves. Would tie jugs to the brush to keep it upright, could sometimes see them at “Low Tide’. Used the long White Thill corks delicately balanced to detect a Crappie even if all they did was sniff the bait. Alas Alack my buddie died and I moved, haven’t been there in some time now but I’m sure the technique will still work. I sorta grew up in Blair and remember when they built the lake.
