    Default Greenwood today

Thought I was going to be a hot shot today and go up to greenwood and jig the bridge where we saw a lot of fish caught Saturday. Got there around 8 and headed to the bridge. I jiged around the bridge until 11 and only caught 1 little bream. There were several other boats fishing it also and they were not doing any better. I tried another bridge and did no better. Oh well so much for jig fishing. I loaded the boat had dinner and headed home. I tried minnows and jigs. Don

Sorry you did not find them biting today Don. The upcoming cooler weather should help them get a little more active.
Thanks for the effort and for the report !

Sorry you did not have much luck Don. The best success I've had fishing bridges is casting the jig beyond the piling and let it fall into the strike zone. Most times you only saw the line twitch or go slack when you had a bite. I used 4# test line and 1/32 jigs.
I have not done that in years. None of the stuff that worked for me in Georgia seems to work on Murray.
Least you were on the water, had a good meal and got home safe. Not all bad.
I did not do much of anything today and I got some yard work tomorrow that I have put off too long.
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men

Jigging is something I need to spend more time doing too. Seems while jigging I catch most of the fish near the bottom even when I see them holding mid water column.

Going to meet Tim at the ramp around 12 and go get something to eat and then may put in and ride around and look. I have not giving up on the jig fishing. I am going to fish the bridges on Murray and get better at it I hope. Also going to make a few trips to Santee. See all of you that is coming tomorrow.

Don, ya'll look around the humps going up in and around the Nuclear bridge. Also if you got time look up at the 274 bridge around 10 to 18 foot you may just find some. Good luck! See you around 4:30 at the shelters 3+4.
