Thread: Monticello lake

Anyone fishing Monticello? I went there after fishing with Sinkermaker Saturday and tried
The park pier. Got a few bites but no hook ups. First time very going there.
I read that it has crappies but best known for its catfish ing.
Any one been lately?
Is it worth driving down to fish from the park peirce when it cools down some.
Just curious.

I have never spent any time fishing for crappie on the lake but I know it does hold some nice crappie because I have seem them on a video. Not sure how you would go about finding them from a pier as them seemed to have been holding around deep structure/cover. The catfishing is great there
