    Default Local Lakes Flood Pics

These are just a few but I'm sure you'll get the idea. I'm used to starting in January with Clark's Hill down 3-6 ft but I understand that this year it's reached 6 feet over full!

I was up at Hartwell at Big Oaks Ramp by the dam. Guess you need a boat to get to the dock! And I'm sure there's a perfectly good ramp around here someplace!

Keith, I've worked on these lakes for over 30 years and never have seen levels like this!

William, how long did the gates stay open? I heard they were gonna run them open for a week but I cant fathom that much water going out of the lake. Sunday after church I might jut take a ride and do some looking to see what the lakes look like now...

We rode by the Clarks Hill dam last Sunday along with a whole bunch of other folks. They actually had someone directing traffic. It was pretty impressive. We have a place on the lake and I have never seen water levels that high. Most of my dock walkway was underwater but at least it was still there. If the level had come up another 6 inches or so, it would have been at my electrical disconnect switch on the pole along with a whole bunch of other docks since most are about at the same elevation. The level is down about 6 feet now from last weekend and is getting close to the full pool elevation again.

What is the lake level of Santee? And when is the normal time for crappie spawn?
