Very nice image, thanks for posting!!
I have had several people ask me about side imaging and if it really helps catch fish. It has helped me find structure and fish more than I could imagine. I wanted to share this picture to those who are curious about maybe getting one. I would be more than willing to help those who have questions about side imaging. The picture is of a school of crappie on two pieces of timber. Side imaging helped me locate these fish and structure and helped me catch them.

I have always used humminbird, but im sure lowrance is good too. I have the 998 HD with down imaging and side imaging. It does take time to figure the ins and outs of the graph to reach its full potential but once you do it changes everything for you. Saludariverman also has one and he could tell you some about it as well.

Pic looks good. I have learned a lot of my waters with the side/down images. Saves some time looking and/or fishing dead water.

How is the down image ?
I found I needed a transducer with a dedicated down piezo to give a good / usable image
Currently have Lowrance HDS9
G3PO
My side images doesn't look that good ever. I need to take the time just to drive around and test till I figure out what it's supposed to do.
That's a picture like HB shows in their demos
The BEST thing I have found to do to "fine tune" SI or DI is to go over something or beside something you already know is underwater. Then adjust some of the settings to make it look as clear as possible. The more narrow you run your SI the more detail you will see. The picture I posted I was only viewing 40 feet each side of the boat.
