    Default Clark Hill 10/14

Well, it has been since last spring that I fished the hill (yep...all summer long was on Russell and I wasnt telling) and was itching to get back there so today I struck out for the Hill. I was putting the boat in right at daylight (7AM) and made my way to the #1 spot shortly afterwards. Marked alot of fish and some bait but the fish just wasnt wanting my offerings. I think I caught 6 and had 1 or 2 in the livewell. Anyway, after awhile I went to spot #2 and trolled for quite awhile again with nothing to show for it. Went to spot #3 and same thing...some bait showing, lots of fish on the bottom, and not many bites. Well, I went to another spot and BAM! Fish on! And it stayed pretty active for awhile. I didnt find biting fish until 10AM and stayed in 'em until about 12:30 and decided to head home. Most all the fish I caught was in a 100 yard stretch and it seemed that if I got out of that stretch then I wasnt catching. Go figure...

Anyway, nothing big...maybe 3/4 lb at best. Kept 6 for me and the wife a fry tomorrow nite. Here's a few p[ics of today...

Not counted was around 15 WP and at the end of the day I ran into some 1-2 lb hybrids that made an ABSOLUTE MESS wrecking most of my setup. I finished the day boating 6 of those hybrids (which are alive and well for somebody else to have as much fun with 'em as I did.

Good job, Butch.....most of the time, that 100 yard stretch is what we are all looking for. We found it Sunday and ended up w/ 18 good fish and about 30 throwbacks (Georgia keepers) lol.....BTW, what was the water temp on the Hill? Enjoy your fresh fish for dinner, I had a fat mess for lunch on Monday.

Looks like a good catch Butch. Six in the pan is enough for a good meal and makes you want to go back for more.

Upper end....I fished from Coody Creek down to Newford on this trip. About as far down as I go is Little River on Ga and SC side. That's a 50 mile one way trip for me.
