Who is Kit Carson? You must have me mixed up with Wild Bill Hick-up.

I got the message, just been lazy in looking at the forum. You have a return answer.

    Cheers

Fishing report this week for panfish. I spent three days on Murray this week, Tuesday was in the Ballentine creek arms, Wednesday in Rocky Creek, and today in Bear Creek. A few fish caught Tuesday and Wednesday, nothing to set the water on fire and it appears the first wave of Gills have moved back off the beds into a bit deeper water. I talked to several folks who live on the lake today and they have not seen any beds period, so the large wave most likely will come the full moon in June. Everything is a bit behind this year due to the extra cold winter we had. Those that have been on the beds have been very scattered, a few here and there.

Today in Bear Creek found the fish on a typical pattern, along deep water banks around docks and in the small cuts very close to deep water. I have no idea of how many fish I caught, close to several hundred with about 50 Gills, 9 largemouth bass, and many, many white perch. White perch are really becoming a real problem, there are thousands of them. Did not concentrate on the brush piles for crappie, for two reasons. Crappie are still on the move in May and also I would rather catch a big Bull Gill any day. Two roostertails for the three days, lost one to a chain pickeral, the other one no longer has any hackles.....Lol! Time for a rest till next week, this fishing is hard work. All of those fish are still in the lake, I let them all go. Cheers.....Kit

Well my original plan was to get my boat ready and maybe meet you at the ramp this morning. Then I discovered the pump problem. In talking to my mechanic he said he always used a tank instead of a hose and muff, so just to be certain, I went to the Koon Landing ramp to just back it in to test and stepping up on the ramp was my fatal mistake.
Glad you found them. Back in my bass tourney fishing days, Bear Creek was my go to spot. I was looking forward to fishing it.
