Thanks. Great Tip
While tying a jig on my jig pole (I was in my garage doing this) I went to cinch the not and the string broke (I carry 6 lb on 90% on all my rods) so I started pulling my string between my hands and it broke again I took out about 10ft of string until I found some strong string. So I checked another rod and reel I had to replace all the string on that reel. So check your reels
Thanks. Great Tip

Good reminder Matt. Sunlight will deteriorate mono over time and it will become brittle. I try to store my spools in a container to slow this process, but your reels are out in the sun and the top layers take a beating.
Not a bad idea to change the line out every year or so as a precaution.
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
Matt, when rods set the elements breaks down the fishing line. In most cases you can pull off enough line to get to some the sun hasnt effected. For me I'm always changing line anyway from breakoffs and from cutting off a couple feet at a time due to frays. Good tip though.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
You may be stronger than the fish I catch!

Yes change once a year and if you use the flurocarbon lines twice a year just my two cents.
