Only thing I've noticed about the moderated forum is that I haven't heard a complaint from any of the people that share information and post their reports there. The intent was to get the lurkers to join and participate. The forum is free of charge and like anything worthwhile requires minimal effort and time to become an EXCLUSIVE member. For people not wanting to invest any time, it is probably cheaper to hire a guide if they only fish once or twice a year.

I guess that I could be considered as a lurker because I seldom post. The reason that I seldom post is that I seldom get to fish because of my job. In a couple of years I will retire and then hope to catch up on fishing and posting. In the mean time I check in on this board almost daily to keep up with conditions, patterns and techniques. I have learned a lot from the anglers on this site. From Rango's nightstalking, Gabowman's longlining, Stumphunter's jig tying and Inkdabber's jigging techniques. Many more of you have been of great help as well. To me that is the purpose of CDC as well as a certain camraderie that many of you have developed in your group events. Keep up the chase and I hope to join you all in a big way in a couple of years!

You are not what we considered a lurker. You joined the forum and have made more than enough post to be a full fledged member. When I first joined, all these methods were Greek to me and all I could do was respond with a post saying good job, or nice catch or something similar. Several of the members on here have been gracious enough to take me with them and show me how they fished. I really appreciated that and I try to contribute as much as I can.
Sadly. most of my posts are what not to try or do.

If you dont vote, you dont have the right to complain about who gets elected........if you dont post reports, you dont have the right to complain about where other post theirs.

Its been awhile since Ive posted because of my lil boy and they have changed the site a little bit but you can still get quality information from people on this site without having to go to the moderated section. Ive met some guys on the lake and have sent pms and received pms from people on these boards with information. All you need to do is ask and I guarantee that someone will be able to help you out.

I like the moderated forums. My job and family things have kept me from fishing much lately, but I like to keep up with how my buddies on the board are doing. I've met some truly fine gentlemen on this board who do not mind at all sharing information, as long as you reciprocate. I've never minded doing that for people who put in the same effort to find and catch fish......or folks with kids that want to catch fish. I will pretty much try to put them dead-on spots/techniques that may get a young'un a fun day. Ya'll keep fishing and posting. I hope to catch up on my fishing once things at work settle down a little.

Now that u ask I'm not okay I'm ticked off. Jake (remember him) comes down and goes through my bass lure, he would ask everyone in awhile if he could have this or that. I told he could beings I had lots. Well I go to gather my stuff its just about all gone. All my worms and I must have had 30 different colors. A lot of plugs are gone as well, all my spinner baits must have been 20 of them. He's got a pretty looking tackle box . While I spent $200.00 trying to replace what he got.i wasn't able to find a color worm I had, so he offered 5 of his to me that we're mine but I got to give him a pack of seedless hooks. Disgusting o well it does give me a warm feeling to get him started right. Lol
