Go ahead.......hurt me! Since I had to work today it looks like it was a GREAT day for fishing. I'm ready to get my 'fix' by reading all your success stories. Go ahead...make it hurt!

Butch, It was ABSOLUTELY GEORGEOUS, dead calm and just right temp today . I put on a post. The water temps have fallen 8 degrees in a week and the fish didn't cooperate real good, but today was medicine for a weary soul. BTW...river was too muddy to fish so I hit the creeks again.

Read your post....sounds like an alright day to me. The river needs to clear up some to give more options on places to fish but it sounds lke you already know where theyre at. Can you tell how much (if any) the lake has risen?

Butch, I actually put in a CC today and got into the river without much trouble. According to depth finder, it's up 2 feet or a little more. Ramp at CC was fine today. CC and River very muddy with still a fair amount of trash.

Youre right about a slow day still beats working! I know................I worked today. All that fresh rain water rushing in and coupled with the cold temps the past few days probably has the bite slowed WAY down, but the lakes need the water for the up and coming spawn. Our lake needs another 12' of so of water so I dont mind it messing up the bite right now as long as the lake gets right before the spawn gets here. We can still hammer out a mess here and there to get us by until it gets warmer weather. That's what I'm hoping for anyways. Thanks for chiming in on getting out some today. Makes me feel better knowing some of the CDC guys are out checking and looking around. I'da definitely been out there if I wasnt working.

Well wife came to me while making breakfast and said she wanted to do some fishing at greenwood on Saturday... What a surprise, well we get out there about noon weather good nice day but no fish . Water looked muddy water temps read from 46 to 50 deg depending where we were.. Had a few bites but no takers saw some boats spider rigged. but over all was nice to be out there with her and not alone. now she said shes going to wait till it warms up some before she goes with me again. She was mighty cold when we got back. Then ate at Shoney's in Greenwood they have there catfish on the bar again and it was good...

Fished Murray this afternoon--targeting bridges and docks. Using Bobby Garlands and Fish stalkers the bite was slow and light but did manage a mess.Water temp was 50 which is down 4 degrees from last weekend.Nice to meet you Crappie Buster.Had several lb and 1/2 to 2 lb.With this full moon gone and next weeks warmer days just might get interesting.Good luck all.

Lawless, sometimes the trip is more fun than catching the fish. Glad the Mrs went out with you. Sounds like you guys had a nice dinner.

SCCrappie, if the warmer days coming makes the temps rise a little it ought to "Be On Like Donkey Kong!" Congrats on the mess of fish you got. Good hearing another report from ya again.
