Bait with fish under them. The diagonal lines are more than likely air bubbles rising to the top. Looks like thermacline just a couple feet off the bottom.
Plenty of bait with scattered fish.
More bait and fish.

Good pics Butch. When you come across that much bait you know the fish are close by.

Seen this on the graph this morning and I thought it was bait but the more I looked at it the more I was unsure. Any ideas?

Some times I'll get a wide band like that from top to bottom. It doesnt happen often so I dont pay it any attention. Cannot say what that is unless it's some kind of interference maybe?!?:o

It wasnt interference from the boat, the only thing running while this came across the graph was the trolling motor and the ducer and trolling motor were 22ft apart. We were pretty far up in a creek so it could have been trash from the water starting to turn over. Now that im pretty sure it wasnt bait I wont worry about it next time I see it.

I think these are columns of aglae but not sure.
Straight line is a bubble commin to the surface.... if it was a fish he would have probably landed in your lap...lol!
Dark diag. line is bait being dropped through the smaller hybrids to get to the 8 - 15 lb. strippers at 60 foot. Notice the lack of bait fish clouds, that is because I catch my bait and move to the fish. Big strippers prefer the dark in my opinion, so I just use a 12 volt pole light mounted to my console to light up the boat. It will still draw in just enough bait but pulls the strippers under the boat. If you can keep a fish on until the next rod goes down you normally keep the frenzy going.
The biggest thing I have noticed about this forum is the number of LOWRANCE equipment being used. That says it all!!
