Default Got quite damp but caught a few on Russell

I found out one thing today. When you see BOWMAN and PINTAIL show up, you know you're fishing in the right spot. :D I'm just glad I wasn't fishing in a tournament against GAB, as he ended up with 39 and we had only 20 or so. They were all nice fish. No 2-lbers, but lots of solid 10-13 inch fish. Full of eggs when I dressed them. My two nephews drove all the way from Columbus, GA so we fished from 7:10 until noon. Caught quite a few on a new color to me, yellow with a black paddle tail. Saw lots of other locals fishing who are quite good at putting fish in the boat. Pintail went missing. He was probably slaying them and didn't want any company. William, you no longer own a replacement rod from the fest. My nephew let a fish pull it out of the holder and into the creekDohDoh All in all a damp but good day.Hands Clapping

Doh Oops! I forgot a very important part of the trip. A good friend and crappie fisherman gave me some of his best fish back at the ramp today. I have quite a NICE collection of fillets now. Two pans full to be exact. Thumbs Up Thanks Butch. I've got a feeling one of those bags of fillets is going to be riding down Columbus way.

I bet your nephew had a really surprised look on his face when that rod got pulled overboard.:D (Ah...might as well laugh about it since I didnt see you go swimming for it:rolleyes):D:D:D He aint the only one that's ever had a fish jerk a rod overboard for sure.:o It was good running into you guys today. Even with the cool, rainy weather it was still a decent fishing day. Here's the picture I took for ya today. I shoulda looked but I think the lens fogged up when the camera came out of the case. I thought it was my glasses.:o

Great report Barry! And Butch, since we could see Barry's nephew just fine, and most of Barry's mug was covered up, I think that fog on your camera did us all a favor!! :DRofl Rofl

Just kidding, brother, but now about my replacement rod. You don't really think I'm gonna believe you lost it, now do ya? I remember you braggin' you caught that big hybrid on it and my theory is ya just got partial to it, so you done come up with a story of a big un that hauled it off. Oh well, from what I heard Bass Pro AND Academy is both slap full of replacement rods!!! :D Hands Clapping
