Default mistakes made fishing can be expensive.

i stopped by our local chineese outlet store in york yesterday evening so the wife could support the chineese economy. i headed off to the sporting goods section (which aint much to look at. if youve seen one sporting goods section in these stores, youve seen em all.) lo and behold i run into ot coming down a aisle with a 150ft roll of 3/8 in anchor rope in one hand and a new anchor in the other. he was on his way fishing. he asked me to go with him but i couldnt make it. havent talked to him yet. hope he done good and i also hope he dont forget to tie his new rope and new anchor to the boat when he set his anchors. :D:D:D

I once was in a hurry and let my trailer drop off the end of the ramp. I didn't realize it at the time and when I started to pull out with boat on trailer I couldn't wheels spinning temper rising. So I'd back up a little and hit it again, when I finally got it out I had busted the springs and frame of the trailer.

    New trailer $1100.00

patience: priceless just can't wait to get some. :D:D:D

If that ever happens again. And someone is with you. Just drop your anchor from the front of the boat, and pick up on the trailer. Let the other one drive out. Works like a charm.
Also here for years we added metal ramps in front of the axles. these slide and jump the trailer back up .
Sure makes for a bad when when the trailer is out of order.

once bought one of those high dollar fast sink saltwater nets for catching mullet. first day out with it little brother takes it out of the bucket they sell it in. (brand new remember) and says he will do the honors of catching bait. well he gets up on the bow and plants his feet and gives it a good chunk. opened real nice like it was made to do. BUT NOT TAKE THE ROPE DOWN WITH IT !!!! yep , he didnt put the rope around his arm. new net: bout $100.00 funeral for him: still saving up enough money.. had to buy new net first before i bury him

Almost lost my boat. I tie a line to my trailer with the other end on my boat and push to boat off for a quicker launch on the ramp when I'm by myself. I forgot I did some work and had the rope sitting inside my boat, not attached to anything. So, I pushed the boat off my trailer and my dad and I watched helplessly as it floated out to the middle of the lake. What a proud Dad he must have been at my ingenuity. Luckily it was a windy day and it blew the boat ashore a hundred yards away.

Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

And we act like this Nightstalking thing is new.

For some excitment, read the next verse. A special guest arrived, they filled their coolers and had a fish fry on the beach...in the morning. My kind of people.- Bowfin

I use the same system and have caught myself a time or two getting ready to "dump her in" without the rope on the back of the truck.

Pray for wind and make sure to mention the direction you'd like to to blow :D
