Ok, crank position sensor is your Hall Effect Device. The computer uses SCR's to pulse the coil instantaneously when the timing is right. Till the CPS tells the computer timing the computer will not gate the SCR send voltage to the coil.
I have no power going into the coil though. So not thinking bad coil at least not till I can get it some power.

Slab thanked you for this post
I ordered a new cps. And I found ways to test the computer. Something to look forward to do tomorrow. Fun, but I need the thunder!

WE HAVE THUNDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay me.
I tested the CPS and it's at least got voltage. But, funny thing is, it only had voltage when the ignition switch was half way to the "Ignition" position. Once you put it to the actual ignition position, check engine light turns off, and you have no voltages to the CPS. Ahhhh, I was maybe right, bad ignition switch. So I connected my remote starter button thingy, and put the ignition into that half way point where the check engine light was on, and holy cow, got the thunder, yay. Now to connect up the exhaust all the way, and a whole bunch of other stuff I was ignoring till I knew I could get thunder.

The new ignition arrived, and I was right, it did fix my starting problem. yay
Above is the old ignition. Shuorc called me and asked why I didn't just fix the old one. Well, It's kinda non serviceable. I drilled the rivets off to look anyway. I dono, nothing obviously burnt, but still, looks old, and a new one fixed it.
New problem though. Coolant on ground.
I already got it out, and will have a new one later today. I might be albe to run this engine for more than a minute yet! lol
That's Awesome, My Mercedes died on me 4-5 months ago. I was fuming. I just parked it in the shop and threw a cover over till I was ready to deal with it. You could turn the key and everything worked but the starter. The computer was toast! Anyway fantastic you're bringing the Thunder.
Step by step...
