Have fun at icast!!
Yep, always finding more stuff to sink money into on this jeep. The alternator and water pump are frozen. Rusted solid, here's the water pump.

This is what sitting 8 years does. So no sitting around, go fishing, or find a project. Lol
Off to icast this morning soon. So let me know if there's something there I should report on.

I've seen one much worse. They took the pump off and the impeller was gone. I mean completely disintegrated. Never did figure out what happened. I guess you know you will need to flush that out real good.

I replaced a couple of those on my old Cherokee. One due to the shaft leaking & another locked up/broke the belt while I was pulling my old Nitro. Lucky for me I was within 2 miles of the house after a 2-hour drive to go fishing. Pulled into our driveway & turned if off just as the temp hit the red. Hated to see it happen but sure got lucky where it happened.

Gracious…… gotta get on mine
Our very last Jeep was a full dress Commander, we bought it new, it was one of the worst vehicles we ever owned. I put a water pump on it every 30K miles. The design could not handle the belt load, the bearings kept cratering. I'm not prejudice against old stuff by the time it had 90K miles on it I was sick of doing the repairs to keep it up. We traded it off. Better luck with yours.
I was given a ‘69 Datsun 210 that had set for a lot of years.took off an obviously bad top radiator hose to find the coolant had turned to blue jello. Completely. Got it to run and sold it at a yard sale of ours for $500. He sent it to a friend in Kansas and had it completely redone and was driving it 6 months later. You’re a better man than I, my patience wanes on chronic problem children.
