    Default Trolling motor interference.

I have a 999ci hd si combo. The transducer is TM mounted.Took it out for the first time today. Every time I turnon the TM the color changes on the screen. I noticed it only did that in SI mode.
I tried adjusting the sensitivity and contrast but no joy. Any suggestions on what to do?
    Thanks Fin

I have a 24v and had it connected to the trolling motor battery instead of the starting battery. That may have been it.

Didn't work. My boat has a 24v system. The starter battery is connected to the TM battery to make 24v. Will I have to have a 3rd battery for the Humminbird?

My TM power has a Electro Guard. Does that matter?

You can test this by temporarily installing a separate battery for the electronics ...

    Independent battery fixed it.
