    Default side imaging/fish location

Just got a side imaging unit and have never had one. Let's say I see fish on the unit....how do I find the spot on the water that it shows to fish them? How do I locate the spot? Thanks fellers!

When you pass by and see fish on structure off to the left or right press the down arrow key. You will see a curser moving on the screen. Move it to the structure and press mark to place a waypoint. You can now go to maps and move to the waypoint.

Try this youtube site. I have learned a lot by looking at videos on youtube and asking questions here on crappie.com. Hope this helps you understand it better.

What I like about the SI and fish. Yesterday on Pickwick Lake, there was a giant baitfish school off to my right. Hit the arrow button it freezes the frame. I then moved over to the center of the bait fish. Put a waypoint as there was around 100 crappie under them. Motored over to that spot and caught 3 crappie. One was a keeper other 2 was keepers but only 9" so tossed them back. Even if I see fish off to the side say 100 ft to the left. Just mark them and go to the spot. Makes it so much better then 2D , where you have to be over the fish to see them.
Also don't be scared to spend the time to zoom in on that spot. As you can can see so much more detail when you blow that spot up. Tomorrow for me will be spent hunting structure. And dropping a Ky rig down to check it out. Love Love Love the New Helix 10 now to get one more for the front of the boat.
