Gentleman, I have just recently purchased this unit and I am having trouble with waypoints. I called tech support and they was able to help a little. I can get the structures marked and the unit says waypoint created. However the waypoint is not stored under waypoint, routes, tracks menu, or anywhere else. the waypoints do not show up on the map either. What am I doing wrong and can anyone give me some advice.
This maybe a help.

Thanks for the input, there is a blank SD card in one of the slots, the screenshot feature is on. So what I am reading is the screenshot feature needs to be in the off position and the waypoints will show up?

If the unit doesn't successfully save a screenshot to the SD Card = a waypoint will not be created ...
Either the SD Card is locked (not allowing a screenshot to be saved), the SD Card is not compatible ...or the card reader is malfunctioning ...
Check the lock slider on the left edge of the SD Card ...
Then cycle thru the "Views" button to the Snapshot and Recording view and try to take a screenshot ... The screenshot will show up in the grey background to the left in the Snapshot and Recording view if the screenshot is successful ...
If the screenshot doesn't show up in the Snapshot and Recording view (and screenshot is enabled under the Accessories tab in the Main Menu System) = the card reader is failing or there is another issue with the SD Card ...
SD Cards or SDHC Cards of 32gb or less are compatible (SDXC Cards are not) ...

Thanks for the advise Rickie, I called Humminbird again for the second time, they determined that something is wrong with the unit and had me send it in to be looked at.
