Default Helix 9 SI or Helix 10 SI purchase?

Trying to determine the differences in the 9 & 10 are. I do know the 9 screen resolution is 480x800 while the 10 is greater at 600x1024. Also of course the screen is 1" larger. I was going to buy the 7 SI but decided I need the larger screen. If those are the only differences I am not sure it's worth the extra $500 to purchase the 10? Any thoughts/feedback appreciated.

    Thank you!

The 10 also comes standard with the HDSI transducer instead of the compact the 9 comes with. Both units are the same size physically, but the Helix display is larger.

I think you will be happy if you stretch your budget to the 10.....bigger is always better with SI.

I got a helix 9 and am happy with it. You can upgrade to a hdsi transducer for $85.

Why should you need to upgrade transducers?

The upgrade XHS 9 HDSI 180 T gives sharper images than the stock XNT 9 SI 180 T because the piezoes are longer in the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T ...

Plus the upgrade XHS 9 HDSI 180 T allows the HELIX 9 to utilize the 800kHz imaging frequency ...which also gives sharper images ...

DEFINITELY do this! You will wish you had on the front end for $85 instead of several hundred later. I didn't do this on my 899 but am gonna do it with the Helix 9. Never take it out of the package. Just send it.

Yes you can, not sure if it would support the 800htz hut would make the image slightly better. It is not going to be as noticeable on the smaller screen but I think you'd see a difference.

    thank you

Another question and maybe i should start a new thread....but,

I have a 1648 Lowe, tiller steer.... i have a hb570 in the back (it came on the boat) and i have a Lowrance 5HDI at the bow on the trolling motor
What would be my cheapest option for having SI/GPS in the back and DI/GPS in the front and both units talk to each other (sharing transducers is not a necessity, all i'm really after is for the two units to share gps waypoints between them.)
I'm not looking to go too crazy since this is a glorified jon boat, but i would like to have it setup better until i can get a bigger dedicated fishing boat and just use the lowe for duck hunting or fishing small waters. My wife and I have a 10 month old, so i dont have nearly as much time to fish and want to maximize my time on the water.
