I pretty much run mine on the 3 setting for speed and run out around 100 ft.and just zoom in an out as needed and adjust sensitivity as needed.the 360 pretty much does the rest.you'll like it, I'm sure
(I follow my way points until I see them on the 360.then I just use the 360 to move in to fish.works great)

I'm still learning the 360 and big time appreciate your posts and comments. They give me hope that I can make good use of the modern equipment soon.
    Thanks for sharing.

Keep this in mind, the the works great, but don't be expecting those real pretty pictures that your used to with si.
Don't run the 360 to slow.theres times when you can run it on the slowest setting and get a lot clearer picture, but you will need to reduce the range quite a bit.
For me the fastest setting is just to fast and really distorts everything enough that I don't use it.
the 3 &4 work best for me (with the onix, the speeds are 1 through 5.with the core units, there named)
The only other advise I can offer, is to always keep the sensitivity as low as you can stand it.you will keep wanting to turn it up to much, or at least that what I kept doing at first . you'll see after a while that less is better.
(Don't have any other 455 kHz pinging while the 360 is running,800 kHz is ok)
