    genec, I have the old switch before the TS3, you would understand it easy. It has two xducer cables into and one head cable out. I'm sure they had some reason for changing it. Mine is 4-5 years old.

    Well I ordered the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20T today, can't wait to try this setup on the water.

    The older model TS 2 W switch was energized in both positions of the switch...causing battery drain issues...

    HB changed this in the HB TS3 switch so that in the "Line Thru" position, there was no 12v power energized at all..

    Thanks Rickie for the explanation, I was sure there was a good reason. If I had not retired I might order the new one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But thats a lot of soft plastic crappie baits LOL.
