Good Heavens! Are those yellow perch or, as I suspect, the much maligned White Perch? If it is the WP I got a tip for ya.

White perch 10-15". They are taking over the lake. They arrived about 5 years ago and not sure how they got there. Significant loss of weight in our LM population.

When they bust shad in the morning they are viscious and eazy to catch. 1/8 rattletrap is my bait of choice.

Very hard to catch when they are suspended.

    What is your secret?

I had ordered a 30 pack of Donnie's Gnats and had not got around to trying them.

    http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showt...acks-of-GNAT-S

I had made a rig with 2 tied about a foot apart with a sinker a foot below. We were fishing for WP and ran out of minnows and I dropped one of these down and they were hitting two at the time before I could get the bail set. Madness for about 45 minutes till we got tired of catching them.
They were designed to be fished with minnows but we caught them on the Gnats with no minnows. They were down near the bottom in 15 to 20 FOW.

Monte...does your Dragonfly still experience the "no history" when changing views...??

I would think they could've fixed that in a software update...

Yes it still has that problem. I have never checked for any updates, but I should I guess.

That is a large perch. Reason most folks here don't like them is we got hundreds of 6 to 8 inch ones for every 15 inch one you get. We find if you fillet them and take the skin off they eat real good. First time we got some little ones and cleaned and cooked them whole, they did not taste nearly as good as whole bream. Once we stared filleting and skinning it was game on!
