Cursor reading, Cursor is marking the top of the structure at 9.4 ft from surface in 13 FOW, ...is it 102 ft from the boat at 293 degrees? Think that is right

Top of structure 9.r fow, 13 ft total depth, distance 102 from when tracking began (sonar turned on) then bearing being degree of travel on map from starting point when sonar began ( unit turned on)
    Is that right?

The 9.4 curser is how many swear words you've said since turning on the unit TODAY!

rickie, tell me if im wrong, but I believe that that using 293°,while returning to the waypiont would give the best accuracy ?

    Default Sonar quiz #9

While several of the answers are correct (or partially correct)...I will use slabbacks quote as the reference ....and then elaborate a little on kosmo's answer in a sec...

Taking into consideration that the "active cursor position" is still "active".....:

At any point in the boat track after the cursor was "activated".....(regardless of distance traveled in the boat track)...

*The "Distance" data box indicates the direct "straight line" distance from the boat's present position on the water ...to the coordinates of the "active cursor position".....(we learned in Sonar quiz #8 that it doesn't matter where in the water column a waypoint is marked...the coordinates are the same for any pixel in that vertical row of pixels on the 2d image)...
    --------
*The "Bearing" data box indicates the "straight line" bearing from the boat's present position on the water...to the coordinates of the "active cursor position"....(regardless of boat "heading"...ie..the direction the boat is pointing)...

This is the same criteria the "GOTO" function uses ....(if the "Active Cursor Position" had actually been used to mark a waypoint at that indicated "Active Cursor Position"...
