Default Took the boat out today, a few shots

I took the boat out today and played with the point 1 and did a little green carp fishing for the first time in 20 years

Found this on a old road bed I used to bass fish, didn't know it was there. The images are a little hot to suit me.

    Same box culvert.

    Something feeding on shad.

Look closely in the basses mouth, there is a tail I there. 3lbs 10oz.

    Fat little bugger.

Good pix, Justin. You said they look a little hot. I'm just learning, but I usually run the contrast around 70. I see you had it set on 58. I'll try to run mine down some on the next trip.

Rickie this is on the north end of Barkley. Yuk on green carp, and you put them slimy a$$ catfish in your boat ; ). I kept all my bass fishing stuff when I quit 20 years ago, kinda like keeping all my carpenter tools when I started at the plant years ago. You never know when you may need them again.

Thanks Kosmo, I didn't eat it, turned her loose to be caught again. I have crappie in the freezer that I need to eat, it won't be long before it's time to start catching them again.

Don the images I posted are a LSS 2, here's some from my LSS 1 with the contrast set higher. One thing I've noticed is that the images look better on the unit with a higher contrast, but IMO make prettier pictures at lower settings. You can see I need to adjust my LSS transducer some more to brighten up the right side some.

Justin, I think the more I fool with my 7 the worse it gets. I think I will set the unit on AUTO and be done. I had some pretty good shots the first time out and this one is from a couple days back. I think I will go more with the 6 Palette, like yours, rather than the 9.

Keep after it Don, you'll get it the way you like. I keep a small note book in the boat with my settings written down so if I get it screwed up I can go back to what I know works. I also have them on the memory card that is supposed to be in the unit but gets left at home sometimes.
