Default Something I'd like to see

I'm not asking you to give up fishing spots, but I'd find it interesting and useful if people would post GPS coordinates for some of the more distinct things they find in the water.

An example of the kind of thing I'd like to see would be this one that Kosmo posted:

The reason I'd like to see the coordinates is that they would make excellent reference targets for people new to advanced sonars. If you have any doubt that your installation is good, you could go scan one of these targets and compare your results with what others have been able to produce.

I also think it could lead to some interesting discussions when several people post images of the same things.

I think this is a great idea....looking at pics of trees in Ky Lake may be totally different than how the trees/conditions are in Smithville. Guess you would also need direction of travel, speed, water condition, etc, but having a pic to compare and then try to match would, IMO, be invaluabel.

Catfan, ill try to help you on this the best i can but most shots that i show i would rather not advertise the corrordances. .this picture is coming out of ky. Dam marainia. That's the rifts raft break wall to the right. Nothing special here had my non hd 998 running while leaving the marainia.setting properly close to default.when i get home ill post a link to a video that i made using my 597 on the coffers dam in front of ky.. Dam it doesn't show the corrordances either but if you watch the video at the end it shows the dam and were my boats at.its something that all users both Lawrence and humminbird would enjoy . of coarse the humminbird users will find it easier than the Lawrence usersjust kidding around.........i forgot my tube password its at home

johnathon creek bridge.this is another good spot to try out a new unit.after passing under us 68 bridge heading east look to the north for the old road bed at the edge of the water.the road bed crosses the hole bay one side to the other with plenty of man made structure culverts and the bridge.this is one of the few times that i recomend a slow chart speed.the bridge is so big that it makes more scents to slow the chart speed to get more of the bridge into one shot so you can post your pretty picture on the internet
