LOL...I knew you'd be posting pics.
My honest opinion is they are both good brands.
Some pic quality has to do with the water you're fishing. Way to many factors to figure in than just which mfg.
Some guys are looking for the perfect pic and will push buttons all day. Some guys get bored with the buttons and start to fish.

Anyone know a fix to this? Besides that im in the market for a di/si unit. Lookin at possibly a humminbird 898. Anyone recommend this unit or something in the similar price range. Found a few around the $1200 price range. Thanks for the help
rivrrat85.have you resolved your issues?i recommend that you call hummibird if your still having issues theyall fix you up.i have this unit also its a really good unit and you will like once your issues are resolved. It does sound like some kind of interference tho..if your unit does not have the newest update you need to do that then contact hummibird

No i sure havent. Like i said ive had this unit for 2 years now. Had the freezing up problems right out pf the gate but now out of the blue it wants to mess up depth reading. I very much dislike this unit due to the problems this thing has caused. I guess ill try calling hummingbird before i go at this unit with a baseball bat and get $650 of enjoyment out of it. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
