OK Rick .... I think I got'cha ---- and yeah, it would be annoying to me, too. Wouldn't having the water temp as a overlay (like speed/depth) work about the same ?? I mean, if you ran into a cove/creek/slough & the temp was reading 75deg .... then all of a sudden you noticed it reading 60deg (or vice versa) .... wouldn't that tell you the same thing ?? Just seems to be a "extra" with little to no value overall.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHMC...e_gdata_player dedicated Di and 360 in isolated mold. There's a tree laying down with bait fish. Seems to me that either option of the dedicated Di (using the Di transducer or the rotated si) both produce a better image than the Di from si..the 360 seems to complement the Di.what Im saying is if your one of thoughs Di freaks than i believe the 360 would be beneficial by giving you the option to see and fish structure before running over it using the Di with its limited front to back coverage.i still prefer the 2d over the Di but i can see were the 360/Di could be used. Rickie, i wondering what would happen if i used the rotated si transducer on my 597?

for such a device I would expect to pay an extra 1400.00 which would increase my CPF ratio (cost per fish ) to about 84.00 each

I'm sure there are more scenarios that the "Temp Graph" can be beneficial...

Maybe someone here that actually uses it can chime in here...

I'm only guessing at the possibility of benefit...

There may even be some salt water applications for this that I am not aware of...

This scenario would be the 360...

It's just priced out of reach (for an accessory) of the average joe fisherperson..
