    Sunken barge in about 30' of water taken with a HB 1197c SI Combo...

    Notice the sonar actually "shines" thru in the shadows at the nose of the barge where the barge nose is broken off...

    Cane Pole - It seems like I heard that 455kHz gives a clearer picture on shallow stuff than 800kHz but have never tried it. Have you noticed any difference or have you tried switching?

    I use them both. Easy to change freq with touch button. Hit and miss selection with me.

    I went again to frozen lake with my Humminbird 385 ci DI and took 8 screenshots in one ice hole. It gives a complete picture of what is going on 360 degree and 60 feet around in DI/SI mode. Actually there are just two strange objects laying opposite each other on absolutely flat bottom.
